Job description

What You Will Do

  • Deliver excellent browser-based user experiences
  • Build scalable, performant, applications
  • Define and maintain the standards of excellence around the delivery of front-end code and experiences
  • Partner closely with the product owner to prioritize user experience improvements
  • Communicate about user experience with technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Work closely with our backend engineering team to design integration APIs and data contracts relevant to UI
  • Stay ahead of the latest UI technology trends and browser features
  • Translate UI / UX improvements to functional code
  • Provide input into the iterative process of improving the user experience
  • Communicate regularly with other stakeholders and teams within the organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 5+ years experience with front end development
  • Proficiency with HTML5 & CSS3
  • Notable skill-set with JavaScript UI frameworks such as Angular2, ReactJS(preferred), EmberJS, VueJS, ExtJS, etc.
  • Experience shipping and maintaining SaaS, browser-based applications
  • Familiarity with responsive design and implementation
  • Maturity working with cloud computing technologies like AWS, Azure, Google (preferred), etc.
  • Experience integrating with REST APIs
  • The ability to deliver value on small teams
  • Proven attention to detail

  • Experience working with IoT in commerce settings
  • Experience working with charting and elegant display of large complex data sets
  • Experience working in a fast development environment
  • Passion for getting hands dirty in code and solving problems
