Role description
The Field Engineer 1 is responsible for :
- Participating in operations on wellsite and contributing to the operations in a mentoring role in accordance with companies' standard instructions, on location, land or offshore
- Handling and maintaining equipment in the field and provide onsite labor whenever needed
- Installing equipment and dismantling equipment (rigging up and rigging down)
- Participating in planning of operations and assisting with estimating job requirements
- Conducting training for FE2s, FE3s and FETs whenever relevant
- Conducting performance evaluations of FE2s, FE3s and FETs whenever relevant
- Leading on-site maintenance wherever relevant
- Acquiring operational experience, knowledge and competencies required for advancement to Senior Field Engineer (SFE)
- Completing relevant paperwork associated with a job on a timely basis
- Reporting near misses, accidents, incidents and mechanical failures to authorities (QHSE and / or SDM) Scheduling and leading safety reviews
- Performing post-job meetings with clients when needed.
- Communicate effectively with client and rig personal at wellsite
- Recommend measures to improve methods, performance and / or quality
- Acting as an ambassador for the organization and client, costumers and externals
- Complying with companies Safety and Quality Policy and standards.
