The Accounts Receivable & Sales Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing all activities related to Accounts Receivable (AR) and Sales Accounting functions across all business channels (Retail, B2B, and B2C).
This role ensures accurate financial recording, timely collections, compliance with company policies and tax regulations, and effective control over customer accounts and sales reconciliations.
The manager will act as a strategic partner to Finance and Operations, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance, minimize risks, and strengthen internal controls.
Skills Responsible for leading all team members under AR “Account Receivable” and Sales Accounting function and cover below key responsibilities :
Accounts Receivable & Sales Accounting Management
Lead the AR and Sales Accounting teams, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all sales and collection transactions.
Manage customer accounts, credit limits, and overdue collections in line with company policy.
Oversee reconciliation of Retail, B2B, and B2C sales, including POS, cash, and customer account transactions.
Ensure accurate posting and integration of AR data across financial and operational systems.
Month-End Closing & Financial Accuracy
Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring proper reconciliation between sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
Validate sales and AR entries before closing to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate with Finance, IT, and Operations teams to resolve integration or posting discrepancies.
Compliance, Controls, and Tax
Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, internal controls, and VAT / output tax regulations.
Support internal and external audit requirements through proper documentation and reconciliation.
Monitor AR activities to identify risks, irregularities, or potential loss areas and recommend corrective actions.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
Work closely with Operations, Sales, Treasury, and other departments to enhance financial controls and improve reconciliation accuracy.
Provide financial insights, reports, and dashboards to management to support decision-making.
Support and contribute to company-wide loss prevention initiatives.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs related to AR performance, collection efficiency, and reconciliation accuracy.
Monitor financial performance metrics, identify variances, and ensure action plans are implemented.
Maintain high KPI achievement standards and promote process improvement initiatives.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, train, and develop team members to enhance skills, accuracy, and efficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and encourage knowledge sharing.
Ensure adequate staffing and resources are available to meet department objectives.
Operational Support
Support physical stock count and reconciliation activities with relevant departments.
Monitor corrective and preventive actions and ensure sustainable solutions are implemented.
