Position Overview
The Senior Interior Designer leads the creative and technical execution of high-end residential and hospitality interior projects. This role includes managing full project lifecycles, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring top-tier design quality through collaboration with clients and internal teams. The position requires a balance of creative leadership, technical accuracy, and project management skills to deliver exceptional results aligned with client expectations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design Management & Creative Leadership
- Lead design process from concept through completion, ensuring aesthetics and functionality
- Develop and present mood boards, layouts, and FF&E proposals
- Supervise and mentor junior designers and interns
- Oversee design presentations, material selections, and ensure alignment with quality standards
Project Execution & Technical Oversight
Review technical drawings, BOQs, and shop drawings for accuracyCoordinate with technical, procurement, and site teams to ensure correct implementationConduct site visits and guide contractors and suppliers during installationOversee ordering processes and monitor supplier follow-ups to prevent delaysClient Relations & Communication
Serve as primary design liaison with VIP clientsPresent concepts, samples, and revisions clearly and professionallyManage client feedback and ensure it is accurately reflected in project updatesRepresent the company during client meetings, site visits, and industry eventsTeam Collaboration & Leadership
Lead internal design and coordination meetingsAssign project tasks and support junior staff developmentContribute to project resource planning and schedulingFoster a collaborative and productive team environmentQualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field5–7 years of experience in high-end interior design, including at least 3 years in a senior rolePortfolio showcasing creative direction, technical skill, and leadership on completed projectsSkills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office (3Ds Max & V-Ray are a plus)Strong expertise in FF&E selection, joinery details, and spatial planningExcellent time management and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneouslyConfident communicator with strong presentation and client interaction skillsIndependent, self-driven, and capable of leading diverse teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
