About the Role Own L2-level operations for Unix DB2, Sybase within a highly regulated banking estate, ensuring availability, performance, security, audit readiness, and rapid recovery as per RTO / RPO. Responsibilities Provide L2-level support for Unix DB2, Sybase in a mission-critical banking environment. Ensure compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulator requirements. Operate under ITIL processes (Incident / Change / Problem / Knowledge). Maintain high availability, performance, and security; participate in DR / BCP drills. Own complex incident troubleshooting and approved changes for the platform. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents; implement permanent fixes. Tune configurations and schedule jobs to improve performance and reliability. Coordinate vendor TAC cases and firmware / patch planning; validate after-change health. Qualifications 3–5 years in administration and change / incident ownership for the platform in banking. Required Skills IBM DB2 tools (db2top, Data Studio), HADR; SAP ASE / Sybase tools (isql, sybcentral) Preferred Skills IBM DB2 Certified Database Administrator; SAP ASE (Sybase) certifications Red Hat / IBM AIX admin (nice-to-have); ITIL Foundation The job posting appears to be active, as there are no phrases indicating it is expired or no longer accepting applications.
