Your impact

The vision for the King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh is a first-of-its-kind sustainable airport and airport city development. The expansion aims to accommodate up to 120 million passengers annually by 2030, quadrupling current capacity, and is expected to become one of the world's busiest international hubs by 2050, with 185 million passengers and 3.5 million tons of cargo annually. The project emphasizes sustainability, aiming for LEED Platinum certification and renewable energy integration.

We seek an experienced Design Coordination / Client Liaison Project Manager for airport projects. The role involves working closely with the site-based team led by the Engineering / Design Director, ensuring coordination, analysis, and construction oversight, and serving as a key liaison with clients and stakeholders. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring attendance at the design offices during the workweek.

Responsibilities

Have a strong technical and management background with proven experience in airport infrastructure projects and excellent client management skills.
Act as the primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to designs and construction.
Organize and participate in regular stakeholder meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.
Translate technical details into clear information for non-technical stakeholders.
Facilitate data collection and interface with airport and other design teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, MEP, SAS Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields; Master’s preferred.

Professional certifications like PMP or APM are highly desirable.

Work Experience

At least 10 years in design coordination and client liaison for airport projects.

Experience with large-scale airport infrastructure, including terminals and baggage handling areas.

Technical Skills

Extensive knowledge of airport terminal design, support facilities, and building systems.

Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM, and project management tools.

Client Liaison Skills

Exceptional communication skills to manage relationships with airport authorities and stakeholders.

Standards and Regulations

Understanding of ICAO, IATA standards, and local building codes.

Project Management Skills

Experience managing project timelines, budgets, and risks.

Design Coordination & Integration

Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and manage scope changes.

Safety and Quality

Focus on safety, risk management, and quality assurance.

Problem-Solving & Innovation

Ability to troubleshoot and suggest innovative solutions.

Leadership

Strong leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.

Language & Cultural Skills

Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Availability & Flexibility

Willing to work on-site in Riyadh and travel as needed.

Desirable Skills

Experience with airport systems, BIM, and digital tools.
