Raw Materials Planner

The Raw Materials Planner is a critical role within our organization responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our supply chain. This position demands a high level of expertise in demand planning and analytical skills.

The incumbent will be expected to :

• Execute specialized demand planning assignments that require extensive consultation with subject matter experts to determine precise delivery requirements and conduct thorough analysis of available planning data to optimize execution strategies.
• Demonstrate advanced analytical capabilities in identifying key issues and patterns from complex and potentially conflicting planning data.
• Prepare and disseminate the XYZ report to team members and management on a monthly basis based on consumption metrics.
• Conduct rigorous analysis to determine 3 and 6-month average sales for OMP while focusing on consumption data for raw materials and packaging.
• Collaborate with the Sales department to obtain and validate forecast data for a minimum of 3 months adhering to strict deadlines for data submission and review.
• Perform sophisticated forecast accuracy calculations comparing mean averages of 3 and 6-month consumption against received forecasts and engage in critical discussions with Sales to ensure forecast validity.
• Implement a 3-month rolling forecast in IBP following thorough validation and approval processes.
• Develop and maintain a robust system for safety stock calculations in SAP taking into account lead times from purchase order issuance to warehouse receipt.
• Utilize advanced planning techniques to create purchase requisitions based on forecasts available stock open purchase orders safety stock levels and open sales data.

The successful candidate will be expected to maintain the highest standards of accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of this role as the position is crucial to the organizations operational efficiency and financial performance.

Qualifications :

35 years in supply chain demand planning or materials management (manufacturing / FMCG preferred).

Hands-on experience with SAP (MM / IBP / OMP) and demand forecasting.

Strong background in inventory control consumption analysis and safety stock planning.

Proven collaboration with Sales Procurement and Production teams to align forecasts.

Track record in improving forecast accuracy and ensuring raw material availability.
