As a Quantity Surveyor Engineer you will be responsible for managing project costs, contracts, and financial planning to ensure efficiency and value across engineering and maintenance projects. Key Accountabilities
The position involves : Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction and maintenance projects. Manage project finances, track variations, and control expenditures. Review contracts, assess tenders, and negotiate terms with subcontractors. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure cost-effective execution. Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies related to cost and scope. Liaise with engineering, procurement, and planning teams to align costs with project goals. Provide financial reports and forecasts to support decision-making. Validate work completed before authorizing payments. Ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards. Support claims management and dispute resolution regarding costs. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
We are Looking for : Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quantity surveying. Proven experience in cost estimation, budgeting, and contract management within large-scale maintenance or engineering projects. Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, material take-offs, and vendor / supplier coordination. Proficient in MS Office and quantity surveying software such as CostX, Candy, or Primavera. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Fluency in English. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.
