Legal Recruitment Director | In-House Legal Recruitment Specialist | Placing Top Legal Talent Across the UK

W&P Partners Legal Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading global technology and AI company seeking a Head of Legal (KSA & MEA) to lead its regional legal function. This is a strategic and hands‑on leadership role responsible for all corporate legal and compliance matters across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and Africa region.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s regional legal strategy, building and mentoring a high‑performing legal team, and supporting ambitious business expansion across a dynamic and fast‑growing market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all corporate and commercial legal matters for the company across KSA and the wider MEA region.
  • Build, oversee, and manage a regional legal team delivering best‑in‑class service to internal stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with counterparties and partners.
  • Develop and maintain legal documentation, including licensing, compliance, employment, and corporate governance materials.
  • Advise on regulatory frameworks impacting the company’s operations, ensuring business objectives align with applicable laws.
  • Support corporate transactions, including structuring, due diligence, negotiations, and post‑completion management.
  • Provide legal strategy on intellectual property matters—registration, protection, enforcement, and monetization.
  • Manage external counsel relationships, ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with global legal teams to align regional practices with group‑level policies.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10–12 years’ PQE gained in a top‑tier law firm and / or in‑house within the technology sector.
  • Experience in capital markets within KSA is advantageous.
  • UK or US Bar qualification preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required; Mandarin proficiency highly desirable.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, start‑up‑style environment.
