Your impact The vision for the King Salman International Airport (KSIA) in Riyadh is truly a first of a kind sustainable airport and airport city development. The expansion anticipates accommodating up to 120 million passengers annually through 2030, quadrupling the current capacity of 30 million. The airport is expected to become one of the world’s busiest international hubs, accommodating 185 million passengers and up to 3.5 million tons of cargo annually by 2050.The airport and airport city development are looking to set a global benchmark for aviation experience. With sustainability at its core, the new airport will achieve LEED Platinum certification by incorporating cutting edge green initiatives into its design and will be powered by renewable energy. Our aviation team in the Middle East is experiencing exciting growth and we have a need for a strong Aviation / Civil Engineering Senior Project Management professional to support our management of airport and landside related design projects with direct interface with the project client to coordinate with the Jacobs planning and design delivery teams. In addition, your duties will be to :
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of airport design and construction projects to ensure that goals or objectives of these projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
- Establishing the work plan and multi-disciplinary staffing needs for each phase of project and arranging for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
- Directing and coordinating the activities of Project Engineers, Engineers, and Technicians to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
- Typical duties are likely to include the following : Coordination with all complimentary disciplines such as civil (terminal, cargo, ancillary buildings), airport systems, civil infrastructure, public involvement and environmental, technical preparation and supervision of design and planning tasks, supervise quality reviews, participate in value engineering studies.
- Initiating and reviewing proposals as well as, participating in interviews and presentations as applicable.
- Maintaining positive relationships with current and past clients as assigned and informing senior management of potential opportunities to market Jacob's aviation services.
- Serving as a representative of Jacobs at client and stakeholder meetings relative to assigned projects.
- Developing, reviewing and obtaining confirmation of financial and project delivery schedule activities of design and construction as they relate to all disciplines involved.
- Identifying causes for revisions to projects and whether such changes are billable to the client.
- Assuring that project team complies with the contract agreement as well as exercises rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints.
- Developing, coaching, mentoring team members and supporting continuous learning and development of employees. Here's what you'll need As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture or equivalent, registration as a Professional / Chartered Engineer is preferred and you will have a proven experience as a technical and management professional on projects. You will also possess : Experience working on major infrastructure projects (roads, highways, tunnels utilities) is required Knowledge of airside and landside design, planning aspects and facilities (terminals and ancillary facilities) is preferred. Experience working in, and leading multi-disciplinary teams is required. Must have an ability to utilize computer systems as a tool to effectively manage projects. Must keep current in the architectural or engineering specialty through continuing education. Must have developed the following skills : civil engineering knowledge. Must have strong writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
