Project Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of projects, including billing, collections, bank guarantees, and coordination with project and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in governmental platforms, VAT regulations, and client coordination, with the ability to handle financial reporting and issue resolution effectively.

Responsibilities :

Prepare interim payment certificates (IPCs) and review supporting documents.

Issue and follow up on tax invoices in coordination with the operations and finance departments.

Monitor and ensure the timely issuance and release of bank guarantees (advance payment and final guarantees).

Track and report monthly collections and outstanding balances.

Coordinate daily with project managers to ensure financial alignment and document follow-up.

Prepare and submit all required financial and progress reports.

Follow up with clients for payment processing and disbursement updates.

Process write-offs for non-collectible amounts (deductions or penalties).

Maintain awareness and compliance with VAT regulations and ensure proper application.

Utilize government platforms such as Etimad, NHC, SAR, and others relevant to financial and contractual operations.

Assist in resolving financial issues and support decision-making.

Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, finance teams, and internal departments.

Monitor the release of bank guarantees in line with project milestones and financial closure.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in project accounting or construction finance.

Proficiency in government platforms (Etimad, NHC, SAR, etc.) and VAT regulations.

Strong experience in billing, collections, and managing bank guarantees.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Advanced Excel and ERP system skills (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).

High attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.

Preferred :

Experience in the construction or consulting sectors.

Professional certification (CPA, CMA) is a plus.

Fluency in Arabic and English.

Working Conditions :

Full-time position, primarily office-based with coordination across departments and external stakeholders.

May require occasional site visits or client meetings.
