Full-time Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the BHS to ensure smooth and uninterrupted baggage handling processes. Monitor system performance and address issues promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing system reliability. Ensure compliance with airport safety and operational regulations. Maintenance Management
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for all BHS equipment and systems. Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget. Track system performance metrics and identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and develop a team of BHS operators and maintenance technicians to ensure optimal performance; foster a collaborative environment and align with company goals. Set clear expectations for team performance and provide guidance and support. Maintain and Monitor KPIs
- Maintain and monitor contract KPIs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with metrics; assess performance and implement corrective actions; report KPI status to management for continuous improvement. Budget and Cost Control
- Manage the budget for BHS operations and maintenance; identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements while maintaining high standards. Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and submit regular reports on BHS performance, maintenance activities, and incidents; maintain accurate records; prepare SOPs, CSOPs and SLAs. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards; ensure training and certification for team members; conduct safety audits and risk assessments. Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with airport departments, contractors, and vendors; provide updates to senior management on performance and planned upgrades or maintenance. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers; anticipate needs and exceed service expectations. Process Improvement and Project Leadership
- Lead process improvements to enhance service quality, efficiency, and system reliability; identify and implement innovations for service site development. Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Experience
Minimum 5-7 years in BHS operations, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role in an airport environment. Technical Skills
In-depth knowledge of baggage handling systems and airport operations; familiarity with industry safety standards; proficient in maintenance management software and tools. Leadership SkillsProven experience in leading, training, and developing teams. Problem-Solving
Strong troubleshooting abilities and the capacity to work under pressure. Key Competencies
