The Disease Area Specialist is part of the Medical Affairs Team and provides a bridge between clinical research and the cross-functional Brand Team.

This position is responsible for the planning and execution of scientific projects related and not limited to broadly understood medical communication and education.

The Disease Area Specialist Hematology is accountable for developing maintaining and sharing Hematology medical & scientific capabilities.

Position Responsibilities

External Environment and Customer Focus

• Develops and maintains strong relationship with scientific experts / Thought Leaders and external organizations in therapeutic areas of interest using various channels for interactions (1 : 1 group presentation; virtual meetings).
• Effectively develops content and presents information to HCPs as appropriate ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with local procedures ethical and legal guidelines and directives.
• Sets up strong scientific collaboration scientific experts / Thought Leaders
• Understands the competitive landscape and actively prepares to address informational needs of customers.
• Collects and provides meaningful medical insights back to the organization to be actioned in support of the strategy development.

On-site Protocol

BMS has an occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential site-by-design field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role :

Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration innovation productivity and a positive Company culture.
