Overview
To supervise and oversee the execution of all Electrical and Mechanical (MEP) works for the company's residential projects. The role ensures all systems are installed in strict compliance with approved technical specifications, and the highest benchmarks of quality and safety, while adhering to the project schedule and budget. Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Project Manager, Civil, and Architectural teams to integrate MEP works with other disciplines and avoid clashes. Directly supervise and monitor the performance of MEP subcontractors on a daily basis. Ensure all site works are executed precisely as per approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. Inspect the quality of all delivered materials and equipment upon receipt and during installation (e.g., cables, transformers, AC units, pumps, pipes). Conduct preliminary testing and commissioning of systems (e.g., pipe pressure tests, cable insulation resistance tests, load balancing) and ensure they are performed correctly. Implement and enforce strict quality control and quality assurance procedures throughout all project phases. Enforce and comply with all company and international occupational health and safety regulations on site to prevent accidents. Coordinate inspections with the Project Consultant or relevant authorities to obtain necessary approvals for work stages (concealment, completion, final handover). Identify and troubleshoot technical problems or defects that arise during execution, coordinating with the design team for solutions if required. Monitor actual work completed to assist in preparing payment applications (interim invoices) for subcontractors. Prepare and compile all MEP-related handover documents, including As-Built drawings, operation and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and warranty certificates. Maintain a systematic archive of all technical submittals, approvals, and project correspondence. Participate in the project handover process to clients or the sales and marketing department. Qualifications and Experience
Education : Diploma degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Power Systems, HVAC, or Plumbing) from an accredited university. Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in supervising MEP works on large-scale building construction projects, preferably high-rise residential towers and complexes. Technical Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of : Electrical Systems : Power distribution, lighting, low-current systems (data, telecom), earthing & lightning protection, emergency power, security & CCTV. Mechanical Systems : HVAC (Chilled Water, VRV / VRF), ventilation, plumbing & drainage, fire protection (sprinklers, fire alarms, pumps), water supply, and sewage systems. Skills and Competencies
Leadership and Supervision : Strong ability to lead work teams and manage subcontractors. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with management, subcontractors, consultants, and team members. Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues and implement practical solutions. Attention to Detail : Meticulous eye for detail to identify any deviations from plans or quality standards.
