This position is based in Ireland.
Joins metal parts using various welding techniques (e.g., Arc, MIG, TIG, Flux-Cored) to construct or repair structures, pipelines, machinery, or other metal products. Reads blueprints, prepares materials, operates welding equipment, and ensures the strength and quality of welds.
Key Duties :
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal components using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Arc, Stick).
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare materials for welding (cutting, grinding, cleaning).
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and structural integrity.
- Perform minor maintenance on welding equipment.
- Adhere to strict safety procedures and use appropriate PPE.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.Completion of a welding program or proven experience as a certified welder.Welding certifications (e.g., AWS certifications) for specific processes or materials.Proficiency in multiple welding techniques.Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.Strong understanding of metallurgy and material properties.Knowledge of safety procedures in welding, including proper ventilation and PPE.Physical dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work in various positions.Benefits
