General Description of Role and Responsibilities :
- Design and manage water supply and wastewater systems in urban areas, including developing plans for water distribution networks, sewage collection and treatment systems, stormwater management, and water resource management to ensure safe, efficient water supply and environmental sustainability.
- Analyze existing conditions, assess needs and demands, and develop engineering solutions that optimize functionality and sustainability.
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the viability and practicality of urban development projects, considering environmental impact, economic feasibility, technical constraints, and regulatory compliance.
- Assess the potential environmental impacts of urban development projects, including air and water pollution, habitat disruption, and energy consumption. Develop strategies to minimize negative effects and promote sustainable practices.
- Plan the layout and distribution of infrastructure systems within urban areas, considering factors like population density, land use, and transportation demands, and coordinating with road networks, public transportation, and utility systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and standards by reviewing project designs and plans.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to secure permits and approvals for urban development projects.
- Work with stakeholders such as urban planners, architects, developers, government agencies, and community members to develop integrated solutions that meet community needs.
- Provide technical expertise and coordinate project implementation, ensuring effective communication among all parties.
- Use data analysis and modeling to assess and predict the performance of urban infrastructure systems, considering factors like population growth, traffic, and energy consumption.
- Adhere to Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies, manuals, and procedures, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills :
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Urban Planning from an accredited university.Minimum of 10 years of related experience.Experience in master planning of water and wastewater services.Ability to collect master plan data and produce related reports.Ability to develop KPIs aligned with strategic planning and monitor regional cluster performance.Experience in preparing high-quality performance reports.Fluent communication skills in Arabic and English, both verbal and written.#J-18808-Ljbffr
