ELECTRICAL MEDIUM VOLTAGE TECHNICIAN

Should have 5+ years of experience in Building Operation & Maintenance Project.

Can communicate in English Language.

A.    Key Accountabilities :

• Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on MV equipment (3.3kV to 33kV), including switchgear, transformers, RMUs, VCBs, and SF6 circuit breakers.
• Monitor and operate MV distribution systems safely, including switching and isolation procedures under supervisor guidance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in MV electrical systems and carry out repairs or escalate as necessary.
• Test and inspect protection relays, CTs, PTs, and control wiring as part of routine system checks.
• Support the safe energization and de-energization of MV panels and transformers during maintenance and project work.
• Assist in cable laying, termination, jointing, and insulation resistance testing for MV feeders.
• Coordinate with utility companies for external power supply and planned shutdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and equipment history reports.
• Adhere strictly to electrical safety procedures, including lockout / tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and PPE protocols.
• Respond to electrical emergencies and support restoration of power in case of outages or faults.
