Overview BMC is seeking a qualified and dedicated
Medical Sterilization Technician
to oversee the sterilization and disinfection of medical instruments and equipment used in clinical procedures. This role is critical to maintaining a sterile and safe healthcare environment, supporting both patient safety and clinical excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for following infection control protocols, maintaining sterilization records, and may contribute to staff training and quality assurance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Clean, decontaminate, and prepare medical instruments and equipment for sterilization.
Operate sterilization equipment safely and in accordance with industry standards and healthcare regulations.
Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation logs.
Inspect instruments before and after sterilization for cleanliness, integrity, and proper function.
Rigorously adhere to infection prevention and control protocols.
Assist in training healthcare personnel on sterilization techniques and hygiene standards.
Ensure workspaces, tools, and sterilization areas remain clean, organized, and in optimal working condition.
Stay up to date with best practices, regulations, and advancements in sterilization and disinfection processes.
Contribute to quality assurance and compliance activities as needed.
Licensing and Qualifications
License : Valid
SCFHS Medical Sterilization Technician License
(mandatory)
Preferred Skills and Attributes
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
Solid knowledge of infection control principles and sterilization techniques
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and documentation standards
