This Position is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects; ensuring project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met, and liaising with stakeholders; shaping the company’s portfolio; ensuring that each project aligns with the company’s vision of creating iconic developments.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To manage, coordinate & assist overall project development (Civil related) through all phases of design, approvals & construction. Ensure on - time and on - budget completion of projects
- Detail out budgetary estimates based on high level quotes from Contractors
- Shortlist Engineering Consulting firms & Construction Contractors based on a tender process
- Guide & coordinate with the Project team in planning and analysis of relevant project design and drawings
- Monitor Construction progress (Civil related) vis‑to‑vis
- Ensure Quality compliance
- Monitor Construction progress vis‑to‑vis planned time & cost budgets
- Review Meetings with Engineering Consulting firm – overseeing the day to day construction activities
- Direct Review with Construction Contractors
- Ensure overall Project Quality compliance 2. Contract Management
- Evaluate tender bids to shortlist contractors
- Ensure adherence to terms of the contract
- Review progress report / (Bills) after challenging the project supervisor assumptions and progress report and responding to the project manager queries about the project progress and status
- Settlement of dues with contractors, if any, after closeout
- Formulate regular reports to CDO on actual time & cost vis‑a‑vis budget and schedule
- Project handover certificates
- Project Financial Closure documents 4. People Management
- Co‑ordinate & manage internal resources
- Coordinate with external teams – Engineering Consulting firm and Contractors
- Conduct regular project progress review meetings with internal team & external agencies involved 5. Operating Environment :
- Adhering to project timelines and cost budgets is extremely important.
- Extremely dynamic environment because of the uncertainty attached with dependence on third‑party vendors / contractors
- The role requires constant monitoring & extensive coordination with the various parties involved in the process to ensure on‑time, within budget & high quality output
- The role also requires an ability to adapt to unexpected delays or situations, quick thinking to take corrective actions and decision making capability according to the approved document.
- Constant monitoring of Project Progress and taking corrective actions wherever and whenever necessary
- Review & recommend project design, government approvals with the Engineering Consulting firm
- Negotiate terms & conditions of contract with Engineering Consulting firms and Contractors 8. Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge :
