Assistant Cook

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to support kitchen operations, assist in food preparation, and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to delivering quality meals.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist the Head Cook or Chef with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and assembling ingredients.

Follow recipes and instructions to prepare menu items consistently and accurately.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.

Wash, peel, and cut vegetables, fruits, and meats.

Assist in plating and garnishing food before serving.

Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and leftovers.

Follow food safety standards and kitchen hygiene protocols.

Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

Dispose of waste properly and assist with dishwashing duties as needed.

Perform inventory checks and notify the supervisor when supplies are low.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.

Previous experience as a kitchen helper or assistant cook preferred.

Knowledge of basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices.

Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

Food handlers certificate or relevant safety training.

Passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques.
