Senior Civil Quality Engineer

Overview We are seeking an experienced

Senior Civil Quality Engineer

with a strong background in infrastructure projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and ensure the quality assurance and quality control processes for large-scale civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other infrastructure works. You will be responsible for enforcing quality standards, conducting inspections, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Plans (QMP) specific to civil infrastructure projects.

Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure work complies with project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards.

Review and approve material submittals, test reports, and construction methodologies.

Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and third-party inspectors to resolve quality issues promptly.

Lead root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions when quality non-conformances occur.

Prepare detailed quality reports, documentation, and maintain accurate records of inspections and testing.

Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and client requirements.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers and site staff.

Collaborate closely with project management and engineering teams to support smooth project delivery.

Participate in risk assessments and quality planning meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance / control within civil infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and quality standards (e.g., ASTM, AASHTO, ISO).

Experience with infrastructure types such as highways, bridges, tunnels, utilities, and earthworks.

Familiarity with quality management systems and certification processes.

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and lead quality-related activities on site.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, or equivalent) are a plus.
