Lab Specialist

Al Borg Diagnostics, a respected leader in diagnostic health services, is looking for a dedicated Lab Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be integral to performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring that all procedures are conducted with the utmost precision and adhering to strict quality standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to providing timely and reliable diagnostic results that enhance patient care. Duties and Responsibilities

Execute laboratory tests as authorized and according to established protocols Perform specimen handling, processing, and testing with a focus on accuracy and speed Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness Adhere to quality control guidelines and document all necessary quality assurance activities Conduct analyses of various biological samples and report results promptly Follow established safety procedures to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment Assist in training and mentoring junior lab staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance laboratory operations Complete additional tasks as directed by laboratory management Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field Proven experience working as a Lab Specialist or in a similar laboratory role In-depth knowledge of laboratory operations, testing procedures, and equipment Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in performing laboratory tests Understanding of quality control processes and regulatory compliance in the laboratory setting Ability to develop and implement laboratory protocols effectively Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Certification from SCFHS is mandatory Experience

Previous supervisory experience in a laboratory setting is preferred Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a valuable asset Seniority level
