Head of HSE / Project Director Job Purpose

The Senior HSE Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental functions at project and corporate levels. The role ensures compliance with HSE policies, promotes a strong safety culture, and provides strategic guidance to maintain a safe and sustainable working environment across all operations. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE management systems and procedures. Supervise and guide HSE Managers, Engineers, and Officers across multiple project sites. Conduct HSE audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with company and client standards. Monitor HSE performance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting to management and clients. Review and approve HSE plans, method statements, risk assessments, and safety documentation. Ensure effective implementation of emergency response plans and drills. Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and local authorities on all HSE-related issues. Prepare and present regular HSE reports and performance summaries to senior management. Promote continuous improvement initiatives and conduct HSE awareness and training programs. Support the Head of HSE in developing company-wide safety strategies and initiatives. Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health & Safety. Minimum 12–15 years of HSE experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior role. Strong background in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor. Excellent knowledge of local HSE regulations, international standards, and best practices. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management systems. Ability to lead multiple project teams and work under pressure. Job Types : Full-time, Permanent
