Design Engineer

What's the Role?

In your role as a Design Engineer, you will engineer and design applications of medium complexity based on Hilti modular support systems within Hilti’s Installation System Business Unit portfolio. These applications will be based on Hilti’s proprietary software suite "PROFIS MSE (Modular Support Engineering)" and designed under the guidance of the lead engineer and team leader. You will also provide basic engineering of anchor or direct fastening solutions and bill of materials to other Hilti functions (e.g., supply chain) for further processing.

What does the role involve?

You will derive bill of materials from design work for the wider Hilti team, design modular support solutions, and provide basic engineering of anchor and direct fastening solutions using the Hilti proprietary software suite "PROFIS MSE". Additionally, you will prepare engineering reports for designed applications and collaborate on global and regional projects with different departments within Hilti, such as marketing, sales, and logistics. You will also perform basic value engineering, integrating technical, commercial, and logistics aspects for defined applications.

Finally, as a Design Engineer, you will ensure adherence to relevant codes and Hilti standards in project engineering and ensure the safe and compliant engineering of defined applications.

What you need is :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; Master’s Degree is a plus
• Minimum 5 years of structural or civil experience; experience in steel structure design is a plus
• Structural analysis design skills (e.g., Hilti proprietary software PROFIS MSE, SAP2000, RSTAB, Staad Pro)
• Basic skills in Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Revit is a plus). Knowledge of 3D Modelling, Plant Design, and BIM tools (Navisworks, Revit, SP3D, E3D) is also a plus
• Familiarity with MEP-related applications is a plus
• Understanding of the correlation between technical and commercial aspects of engineering work
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and implementation skills
• Empathy and ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal); Turkish is a plus
• High learning ability
