An HSE Manager is a professional responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing an organization's Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs. Their primary goal is to create a safe work environment, protect the well-being of employees, and ensure the company complies with all environmental and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies and procedures.
- Lead the HSE department and manage a team of safety professionals.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international HSE regulations.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate accidents / incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver HSE training programs for employees.
- Monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics.
- Manage emergency response planning and drills.
- Oversee environmental protection and waste management programs.
- Implement risk assessment and hazard control measures.
- Review contractor HSE plans and monitor compliance.
- Develop and maintain safety certification programs (ISO 45001 / 14001).
- Lead safety committee meetings and initiatives.
- Oversee industrial hygiene monitoring programs.
- Prepare and manage the HSE department budget.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external auditors.
- Implement behavioral safety programs.
- Develop sustainability initiatives and reporting.
- Stay updated on emerging HSE trends and best practices.
- Manage the First Aid Clinic with internal and external resources.
We are looking for a candidate with the following :
