Saudi Arabia Key Responsibilities

Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Verify qualifications and performance of welders and welding operators. Monitor welding activities to ensure compliance with approved procedures and standards. Inspect welds using visual inspection and NDT methods (e.g., RT, UT, MT, PT). Review material certificates and ensure traceability of welding consumables. Coordinate with production, QA / QC, and client / third-party inspectors for welding inspections and approvals. Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions. Maintain detailed welding quality documentation and inspection reports. Provide technical guidance and training to welding staff. Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding Engineering or related field. 5+ years of welding QC experience in steel fabrication, construction, or heavy industry. Certification such as CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or AWS-CWI is preferred. Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ISO). Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
