Physiotherapy Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist physiotherapists in the preparation and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct initial assessments of patients’ physical conditions and document their medical histories accurately.
• Monitor and record patients’ progress throughout their rehabilitation process, providing necessary updates to the physiotherapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercises, and home care techniques to promote effective rehabilitation.
• Maintain and organize physiotherapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring they are clean and safe for use.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat therapy under the supervision of a licensed physiotherapist.
• Assist in the development of exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs and capabilities.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients during their recovery journey, fostering a positive and motivating environment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on the latest physiotherapy techniques and practices.

Preferred Candidate

• Possess a diploma or degree in physiotherapy or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Exhibit a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, understanding the emotional and physical challenges faced by patients.
• Show proficiency in using physiotherapy equipment and modalities, with a commitment to safety and hygiene standards.
• Have a keen attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to treatment protocols.
• Be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
