Main Job Responsibilities
Leading Part’s distribution from and to main warehouses by managing the logistic activities as well as the interfaces with vendors and carriers.
Create and implement logistic strategy and direction (Hoshin Kanari) to continuously develop manpower productivity, associate’s engagement, operation efficiency, quality & safety to ensure continuous supply of the right parts to the right customer on the right time with optimum operation cost.
Direct the parts delivery to ensure the continuous supply of the parts at the right time, to the right distribution with reasonable cost and right quantity and ensure attractive and safe operation.
Manage the implementation of Toyota Production System (TPS) in the distribution & logistic operation to ensure the continuous supply of parts at the targeted level by adhering to the process and procedures thereby improving business productivity.
Managing the continuous improvement activities for the logistic operation using the KAIZEN methodology / other methodology and approach to ensure that Distribution of parts operate in a productive, efficient, and high‑quality standard.
Set up and manage the Logistic Operations plan with all service providers to maintain efficient logistic network and prepare necessary resources in minimum possible time and optimum cost.
Lead the preparation of the budget, manage, and monitor the technical and financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes.
Conduct a monitoring of the logistics and distribution cost management and transportation effectiveness utilization to ensure that the operating expenses is within the approved budget and the supply of parts to the operation at the right time, right place, and right quantity.
Enhancing customer satisfaction by maintaining a high level of parts supply.
Develop and update the Business Continuity Plane (BCP), by arranging backup (service providers, manpower, hubs …) and continuously update the data.
Setup the contracts with the service providers and review the annual contracts and agreements.
Responsible for the preparation of a monthly outbound operations reports and service level report for Management to confirm the implementation of operation efficiency.
Communicate with stakeholders (internal and external) to build strong collaboration and effective and productive relationship.
Manage the knowledge transfer to the department associates and implement the succession plans to improve associate’s satisfaction and productivity.
Close collaboration with ESSR Department in maintaining the safety of the Distribution operation and to ensure that the stocks are secured and safe in Distribution.
Responsible for preparing a monthly Distribution operation report to high Management.
Develop, control, and monitor resources skill mix to absorb any fluctuation in job mix with minimum down time and ensures and harmonizes best flow of manpower, vehicles, parts, documents, and others, where it could be best utilized.
Monitor the KPIs and set the new targets for each area and institute control of the operation cost as per approved company policies and procedures.
Increase staff productivity, improve service, and ensure sustainability to meet business objectives.
Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all team members.
Job Qualifications
Master's / Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, Transportation and Logistics Management or equivalent discipline.
6 years in logistic experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
