SYSTRA Arabia's Infrastructure & Built Environment Business Unit is anticipating future growth, with potential infrastructure projects in the pipeline. To prepare for these possible opportunities, we are interested in connecting with experienced Construction Managers with major roads / highways background. Reporting to the Programme Director, the Construction Manager will overall lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring that works are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities : Oversee and manage daily construction operations for road infrastructure projects. Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel. Implement and monitor project plans, schedules, and resource allocation. Ensure all work complies with project specifications, contract requirements, safety, and quality standards. Liaise with consultants, client representatives, and other stakeholders to address project issues and facilitate smooth progress. Review and approve construction method statements, ITPs, and material submittals. Conduct and document regular site inspections and progress meetings. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies. Prepare regular progress and status reports for management and clients. Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. Assist with reviewing claims, variations, and contractor invoices. Support in commissioning, final handover, and close-out processes. Profile / Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (Master’s preferred). Minimum 15 years of experience in construction management of major roads and highways projects. Gulf region experience is preferred
(KSA, UAE, Qatar, Oman, etc.). Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi-disciplinary construction teams. Strong knowledge of relevant international and Gulf engineering standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficient in project management and construction software / tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.). Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage. Job Details
