Senior Backend Developer (Laravel)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (Laravel) to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and developing robust backend systems, building and optimizing APIs, integrating databases, and ensuring high performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the backend architecture, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices across the development lifecycle.

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of backend development experience, with at least 6 + years in Laravel .
• Strong proficiency in PHP 8+ and Laravel ecosystem.
• Solid experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Experience with Redis for caching and queue management.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API authentication (JWT, Passport, Sanctum).
• Hands-on experience with queues, jobs, events, and broadcasting in Laravel.
• Familiarity with unit testing (PHPUnit, Pest) and TDD practices.
• Experience with Docker and deploying Laravel apps on AWS / DigitalOcean / GCP .
• Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and Git workflows.
• Understanding of security best practices (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection, encryption).
• Ability to mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
