Cloud Architect

Cloud Architect is responsible to work under the Enterprise Architecture function and drive strategic cloud initiatives aligned with enterprise goals. This role will be instrumental in shaping the organization’s cloud strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across business units and transformation programs. Key Activities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities : Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to define and evolve the cloud adoption strategy aligned with business goals. Develop and maintain cloud governance models, policies, and best practices. Design cloud-native and hybrid-cloud architectures for strategic programs across multiple business domains (e.g., digital transformation, data platforms, application modernization). Define target-state architecture, transition roadmaps, and reference architectures aligned to TOGAF or equivalent EA frameworks. Evaluate and recommend cloud services, platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and tools based on functional and non-functional requirements. Work closely with Enterprise Architects, Security Architects, Solution Architects, and Business / IT stakeholders. Serve as a cloud subject matter expert (SME) in architecture reviews, technical governance, and platform decision-making. Guide cross-functional teams through architecture decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards. Stay current on emerging cloud technologies and trends to inform architectural direction. Identify opportunities for cloud cost optimization, automation, and innovation. Ensure architectural solutions comply with regulatory, security, and organizational standards. Collaborate with cybersecurity and data privacy teams for secure cloud architecture design. Implement and maintain data encryption protocols, including encryption at rest and in transit, for services such as Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Pub / Sub, and Snowflake. Configure and manage network infrastructures, including VPC, subnets, firewalls, and VPN to ensure secure and efficient data flow between cloud resources and on-premises systems. Seniority level
