IT Shift Technician

Job Description

IT Shift Technician diagnose, repair, and maintain hardware and software components to ensure the smooth running of computer systems. IT technician responsibilities include installing and configuring computer hardware and being the primary point of contact for IT support within a company. Main responsibilities End User Support – troubleshoot and fix issues related to systems contracted by the customer, including :

AOS equipment (servers, workstations, FIDS Client...)

Airport operation systems (AOS) hardware & software support (FIDS, TAMS, RMS, IB, CMS, CATS...)

Smart airport systems (TDAS, E-gates, HHT...)

Troubleshooting for user issues to solve problems.

Handover and takeover IT equipment.

Replace damaged IT equipment.

Install IT equipment on location.

Preventive Maintenance

Daily / Weekly / Monthly PM by the Dammam IT team.

Daily inspection of E-gates, CATS wks, FIDS Client and HHT at checkpoint.

Check data center AC / Servers.

Clean FIDS Display fan filters.

Providing technical support : respond to queries, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Maintaining IT infrastructure : perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, backups, and security checks.

Monitoring IT systems and applications to ensure proper functioning and to identify and resolve issues.

Performing installations and upgrades to IT systems and applications with minimal disruption to airport operations.

Documenting IT procedures to ensure consistent follow-through of installation and maintenance processes.

Providing training to airport staff on the use of IT systems and applications, if required.

Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., data protection and cybersecurity laws).

Escalating issues to the IT Operations Duty Leader or other IT team members as appropriate.

Requirements Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in IT support.

Must be Saudi National.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Work Location : Dammam Airport, Dammam.
