Job description

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support and advice to stakeholders and upper management on relevant legal matters.
  • Prepare draft legal opinions in response to queries raised by stakeholders, following general instructions given by the Legal Director.
  • Carry out tasks assigned by the Legal Director.
  • Carry out legal works under the supervision of the Legal Director.
  • Provide clarification on the legal language or specifications to other functions within the company.
  • Ensure that all new business deals are fully secured and compliant from a legal point of view.
  • Draft / Review legal documents.
  • Apply effective risk management and offer proactive advice on potential legal issues.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties, and establish good relationships.
  • Keep up with current changes on all relevant areas of laws and contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the company’s legal function.
  • Prepare reports, papers, and other documents as requested by the Legal Director.
  • Manage litigations.

Governance Function

  • Provide support and assistance to the Governance activities to make sure that the Company is in line with the relevant regulations, ensuring that SDC’s policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Provide support to the Governance function in Board of Directors and its affiliates committee’s affairs.
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • 1-3 years of relevant practice experience in law
