Overview

The Technical Lead (Enterprise Architecture) is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework to ensure alignment between business strategy and IT initiatives. The role involves providing technical leadership across all architecture domains — business, data, application, and infrastructure — and ensuring compliance with national digital governance standards and enterprise architecture best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement Enterprise Architecture (EA) frameworks such as TOGAF and NORA, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategy.
  • Develop and maintain EA principles, standards, and reference models covering business, application, data, and infrastructure domains.
  • Assess and document current-state and target-state architectures; develop roadmaps and transition plans to guide digital transformation.
  • Establish EA governance processes and define interactions between EA and business / IT functions using models such as RACI.
  • Conduct EA maturity assessments and recommend improvements to enhance architecture effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure architecture deliverables support business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to architecture teams (business, data, application, infrastructure).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and national frameworks such as NDI, NDMO, and DGA (Qiyas).
  • Support proposal development, technical documentation, and project presentations related to EA implementation.
  • Participate in enterprise-wide architecture reviews and steering committees.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture and IT strategy, including at least 3 years in a leadership or technical lead role.
  • Deep understanding of EA frameworks (TOGAF, NORA) and EA maturity models.
  • Proven experience in defining and governing architecture standards across multiple domains.
  • Knowledge of Saudi digital governance and compliance standards (NDI, NDMO, DGA).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certifications : TOGAF, ArchiMate, or related certifications preferred.
