Job description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies across all project sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HSE management systems and procedures.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to site personnel and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventive measures.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of HSE documentation, including permits, records, and reports.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate HSE best practices into project planning and execution.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring readiness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging employees in safety initiatives and campaigns.
  • Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation, standards, and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of experience in HSE roles within engineering, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with local and international HSE standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong observational and analytical skills to identify hazards and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams.
  • Ability to conduct HSE training sessions and promote awareness among site personnel.
  • Proficient in preparing clear and concise reports and documentation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to upholding safety and environmental standards.
  • Willingness to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
