Job description

Overview

We’re looking for a detail-oriented GL & Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team.

This role ensures the accuracy of our financial records, manages the fixed asset lifecycle, and supports process improvements that keep our finance operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Prepare and record journal entries (accruals, deferrals, adjustments, disposals).
Reconcile GL accounts and fixed asset ledgers for accurate month / year-end closing.
Maintain the fixed asset registry : acquisitions, retirements, transfers, and locations.
Calculate and record depreciation in the GL and fixed asset module.
Coordinate and support physical stock takes and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor CAPEX, analyze projects, and support capitalization of construction in progress.
Ensure timely insurance arrangements and renewals for fixed assets.
Provide audit support and prepare financial reports related to GL and fixed assets.
Contribute to system improvements, automation, and compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

3+ years of experience in GL and / or fixed asset accounting.

Strong ERP / accounting system and Excel skills.

Analytical, detail-focused, and able to communicate effectively
