Job Title : Welding Foreman
Location : Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Duty Hours : 8 Hours

Job Summary : The Welding Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of welders and fabricators to ensure that all welding operations are executed according to project specifications, safety standards, and deadlines. The role demands strong leadership, technical expertise in welding methods, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures accurately.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities on-site or in the workshop.
- Interpret and review fabrication drawings, welding procedures (WPS / PQR), and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Allocate work assignments to welders and ensure proper use of welding machines and consumables.
- Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with project specifications and codes (ASME, AWS, ISO, etc.).
- Ensure all welders are qualified and certified as per the project or client requirements.
- Plan material requirements and monitor inventory of welding rods, gases, and other consumables.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Liaise with engineers, QA / QC inspectors, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Train and guide junior welders in techniques and safety protocols.
- Prepare daily progress reports and submit them to higher management.
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications : Diploma or ITI in Welding / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in welding operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.Experience in structural steel, piping, or heavy fabrication projects is preferred.Prior experience in the Gulf region will be an added advantage.Skills and Competencies
Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW, FCAW).Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, WPS, and PQR documents.Good leadership and communication skills.Familiarity with QA / QC welding inspection requirements.Knowledge of welding materials, equipment, and safety standards.Ability to manage teams effectively and meet project deadlines.Fluent in English (Arabic knowledge is an advantage).#J-18808-Ljbffr
