The Facilities Supervisor – Maintenance will have a significant impact on customer experience. The Supervisor will have the ability to lead other technicians, design solutions for challenging problems, manage outside contractors, be on call for emergencies, handle multiple projects and daily activities, and meet time lines. The role also leads the technical team in providing both a reactive and pro-active maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the Amazon Facility. The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success.
Key job responsibilities
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out ensuring compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected stakeholders and work efficiently to fix the issue.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Support and learn from Senior Reliability Engineering Technicians.
- Management of contractors
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical / Industrial / Electronics / Automation / Control SystemsExperience of 1 to 2 years of conveyors / automation / control systems maintenanceExperience of planned preventative maintenance systemsExperience fault finding within MHE (Material Handling Equipment) / Automation systemsExperience in interpreting both mechanical and electrical drawingsExperience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers / invertersPreferred Qualifications
