Logistics Manager – WSP Middle East WSP is providing Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for one of Riyadh’s most ambitious urban regeneration and infrastructure programs. The project encompasses extensive public realm works, sports and leisure facilities, mixed‑use developments, and complex infrastructure networks — aimed at promoting sustainable urban mobility and enhancing the city’s livability.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all logistics operations across the project site to ensure the seamless movement of materials, equipment, and personnel. The role involves developing and implementing logistics strategies that align with construction sequencing, safety requirements, and environmental constraints, ensuring efficient site access and minimal disruption to ongoing activities.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage the overall project logistics strategy, including traffic management, site access, and material handling plans.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to ensure efficient delivery, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment.
Oversee logistics interfaces between multiple project zones, ensuring optimized routes and minimal congestion.
Monitor compliance with logistics procedures, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Manage permits, clearances, and coordination with local authorities for transport and site access.
Ensure that logistics operations support the overall construction schedule and productivity targets.
Identify potential bottlenecks and develop mitigation plans to avoid project delays.
Conduct regular inspections and ensure compliance with project logistics and HSE protocols.
Prepare reports and updates for senior management and client representatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Logistics, or related field.
Minimum 12–15 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a logistics management role on major infrastructure or mixed‑use development projects.
Proven track record working with international consultants or PMC teams.
Strong understanding of construction logistics planning, site setup, and access management for large‑scale projects.
Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with logistics software, traffic simulation tools, and project planning systems.
Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and permitting procedures is an advantage.
