Munitions Maintenance Technician

1. Plan workload and schedules of work assignments for aerospace munitions activities.
2. Improve work methods and establish procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation.
3. Provide supervision and control of the use of space, equipment, and materials.
4. Establish work standards and priorities.
5. Perform maintenance and reconditioning of aerospace munitions and handling equipment.
6. Determine individual and group needs for training.
7. Maintain follow-up to ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of training.
8. Conduct group training in safety procedures and techniques.
Requirements
1. Requires a minimum of 7 years’ experience in AFSC 261X0.
2. Supervise receipt, identification, inspection, storage, reconditioning, issuing, delivery, maintenance, and assembly of aerospace munitions.
3. Disposal of non-hazardous ammunition where authorized.
4. Handle and transport weapons in compliance with existing safety directives and operating procedures.
