We are constantly growing and are currently looking for a full of potential and reliable Project Director to join our top qualified and knowledgeable Project Management team for a project in Umluj, KSA, following an insightful training period at one of our projects or home office locations.

Role summary :

Reporting to the Marine & Infrastructure Division’s Operations Manager, you will play a prominent role in delivering international marine projects within the Division. You will be directly responsible for budget management, people management, maintaining an effective agile work environment, and ensuring the project meets cost, time, and performance expectations. As a team leader, you will foster an environment of exceptional team performance and ensure our projects run smoothly, efficiently, and successfully.

What you will need to do :

  • Apply contemporary project management practices to deliver projects from inception to completion, in compliance with client expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures, local laws, and regulations.
  • Manage contracts, commercial aspects, and risks effectively, with accurate forecasting of costs and revenues, taking corrective actions to ensure timely delivery within budget.
  • Establish and implement effective risk management plans.
  • Maintain effective client relationships to meet customer expectations.
  • Resolve project issues; strategic or business-critical issues should be referred to the Operations Manager.
  • Develop project plans to ensure sufficient resources and materials are available; coordinate with the wider organization to allocate resources as needed.
  • Authorize construction planning, scheduling, and completion activities.
  • Manage subcontractors, including engagement, oversight, and variations.
  • Lead engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications

What you will need to have :

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience as Project Director in sizeable projects (>

    • 500 MUSD) with Red FIDIC financial literacy.

  • At least ten (10) years of project management experience on large-scale marine and infrastructure projects with a Tier 1 contractor, including at least two successful EPC (D&C) marine and / or infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience in complex marine, infrastructure, or industrial projects such as ports, jetties, breakwaters, bridges, pumping stations, water treatment plants, metro stations, tunnels, dams, etc.
  • Knowledge of heavy civil works, including tunnels, roads, and earthworks.
  • Proven ability in contract management and project budgeting.
  • Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget, with effective subcontractor management.
  • Ability to develop and manage project execution plans and detailed construction programs.
  • Strong commitment to QHSE and knowledge of marine construction safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • High mobility and willingness to relocate and travel as required; GCC experience, particularly in KSA, is preferred.
