Data Services Administrator

Our passionate experts combine the power of proactive, always-on service and expertise with best-in-class tools and automation to deliver technology when and how our customers need it.We are seeking an experienced Data Services Administrator to join our Professional Services Team, focusing on managing and maintaining our cloud data services platform. This role is critical to ensuring reliable, scalable, and high-performance data services across private cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database management and data services at scale, with the ability to work across multiple data technologies and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain enterprise data services platforms and infrastructure, preferably Portworx Data Services (PDS)
• Support multiple data technologies (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Monitor platform health, performance metrics, and capacity planning across multiple data technologies
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and coordinate resolution efforts
• Ensure high uptime and meet established SLA requirements for data services
• Provision and manage various data services including databases, caching layers, and message queues
• Implement data security best practices, access controls, and compliance requirements
• Optimize data service performance, storage utilization, and resource allocation
• Manage data service lifecycle including upgrades, patches, and migrations
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical platform support
• Document processes, procedures, and architectural decisions
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence
