Senior Legal Officer, MENA, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

About the Role Senior Legal Officer, MENA – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a senior legal role within Getinge’s global commercial legal team. You will report to the Head of Legal CEE & MEA and provide high‑quality, strategic and practical legal advice, guidance and support for Getinge’s business in the MENA region.

Responsibilities

Provide hands‑on legal support for the general corporate affairs of Getinge’s legal entities and operations in the MENA region, including governance‑related matters.

Manage relevant contracts with customers and suppliers, contractors, distributors and agents, service providers, software / technology providers and other internal corporate entities.

Draft, review and negotiate a variety of agreements.

In cooperation with the global commercial legal team, draft, revise and implement contract templates for various transactions and support continuous improvement of standard‑form agreements and legal processes.

Implement contract management administration in collaboration with the global legal team.

Identify and advise on legal, policy and regulatory risks and the legal liabilities associated with the MENA business.

Collaborate with the Ethics & Compliance team to support implementation of MENA policies and directives and governance structures.

Conduct training for various legal and compliance‑related topics as relevant.

Keep abreast of legal and compliance issues that could impact the MENA organization.

Perform other related duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications

Strong sense of business ethics.

Ability to work in a team and cooperate with all levels of an organization with a positive and engaging style, even in challenging circumstances.

Commercial experience, analytical and negotiation skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with cross‑functional teams in a matrix reporting structure.

Knowledge of global business and international matrix models.

A proactive and customer‑oriented mindset, providing high‑quality legal support often under time pressure.

Good judgement in knowing when and how to elevate issues and propose solutions.

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Integrity and responsibility in performing work.

Ability to positively disagree and search for better solutions.

Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is preferred.

Education and Experience Requirements

Finished Law degree.

At least 5 years of legal experience.

Experience with close working relationships with E&C teams.

Experience working in the Middle East, Africa, and Central & Eastern European markets.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is essential.

Global Legal and Global Ethics & Compliance team.

Regional global sales management, regional business area management, and functional leaders within the global organization.

Vendors, consultants, customers, distributors and other relevant external third parties.
