Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the monthly close process and ensure proper documentation and filing of support information.
  • Calculate and prepare journal entries for local transactions as part of the monthly close process.
  • Maintain leasing and subleasing master database with high proficiency in IFRS 16 and GCC VAT compliance.
  • Follow up on monthly invoicing, working capital management, and accounts receivable to ensure timely accounting activities.
  • Reconcile complex Fixed Assets registers, eliminations, statutory and GAAP reconciliations.
  • Assist with tax forecasting and local reporting.
  • Assist with local regulatory filings to meet all compliance requirements.
  • Prepare accounting and administrative reports as required.

Operational (General)

  • Provide assistance to SANAD’s other business units on issues pertinent to the job function; participate in routine checks and inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained personally and for others; cooperate with the company and colleagues to meet legal and company requirements.
  • Participate in strategic initiatives, operational changes, and performance improvement programs; perform relevant work resulting from these changes.
  • Support the organization during extraordinary events such as contractor claims, dispute reviews, and arbitration.
  • Perform other activities as required by the company, both on-site and remotely.
  • Proactively seek relevant information internally and externally to deliver effectively; stay updated on company context and role opportunities / challenges.
  • Contribute to activities ensuring work continuity in the absence of colleagues.

  • Evaluate process effectiveness within the department and implement improvements to increase efficiency.

    • Physical Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment; travel for training and company events as requested.

    • Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Oracle experience is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with multinational businesses preferred.
  • Experience in the drilling / oilfield service industry is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant field.
