Job Description Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Director, Design Governance & Strategic Design Support to join our team! In this role you will get to join the Design Excellence leadership team to drive value across a large and complex portfolio of active design projects within a giga-program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

What You'll Be Doing

Standardise consistent design processes, procedures, best practices and guidelines

Streamline and optimize key design management processes

Implement design reviews at design stage gates and chair the review panel

Govern and monitor compliance of design deliverables approved by the Board of Directors

Conduct systematic audits and coordinate with Business Unit design management teams to ensure compliance

Participate in design management meetings with business representatives to monitor and safeguard design intent and quality

Collaborate with other Design Excellence Directors as a leadership team driving significant value and consistency across the entire portfolio of design activities

Manage and supervise Senior Managers, Managers, SMEs and other supporting staff to accomplish the work of the Design Excellence verticals and strategic initiatives

What Required Skills You'll Bring

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related technical field

20+ years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of a large group of Engineers, Designers, and technical support personnel.

Professional Engineer registration with active membership in a professional engineering society

Proven ability for managing a large group of engineering / technical personnel and directing work involving complex technical situations

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

Knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific design- and design-review related software applications for use in completing assignments.

Arabic and English language proficiency is preferred.

Area of deep technical specialty is preferred.

Experience gained in recent, similar design management activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
