Job Purpose
The Engineer I, Traffic Control will oversee and manage all aspects of traffic control and management on a live road construction site. This includes preparing and implementing Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) plans, ensuring public and worker safety, maintaining traffic flow, and coordinating with stakeholders, contractors, and authorities. The role requires a hands‑on approach and presence at the project site.

Traffic Management Planning & Implementation
Develop, review, and implement site‑specific Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) and Traffic Diversion Plans in accordance with relevant standards and authority requirements.Update traffic management plans based on construction progress and traffic flow analysis.Coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and public authorities for traffic control setup, modification, and removal.Liaise with local traffic police and government agencies to obtain approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.On‑Site Traffic Control Operations
Monitor and manage daily traffic control operations on‑site to ensure safety and minimize disruption to road users.Ensure proper installation and maintenance of signage, barricades, flagmen, and temporary signals.Conduct traffic safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments during various construction stages.Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, or complaints related to traffic disruptions.Lead and mentor on‑site traffic management teams to ensure adherence to approved procedures.Reporting & Coordination
Prepare and submit detailed reports, including traffic control logs, inspection findings, and incident records.Attend coordination meetings with engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth operations.Demonstrate strong knowledge of traffic control regulations, work zone safety standards, and construction site procedures.Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and overall business objectives.Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering6–7 years of experience in traffic engineering, highway construction, or detour planningPrevious experience with mega infrastructure or highway projectsFamiliarity with AutoCAD and MS OfficeSeniority level
