As part of its development of Qiddiya City, QIC will be developing residential communities, retail destinations, office precincts, hospitality & F&B offerings, entertainment venues, staff accommodation, educational, medical, sports & cultural arenas & stadiums (F1, tennis, golf, equestrian, motor sports, aquatics etc.), theme parks and e-gaming concepts in standalone or mixed‑use environments.
The Senior Manager Hard Services (Zone) – Electrical Engineering is responsible for overseeing all electrical systems and associated hard services across the facilities in the allocated zone(s). This includes operation, maintenance, compliance, reliability, and energy efficiency of electrical infrastructure. The role leads a team of engineers and electrical specialists and supervisors while managing service contractors and ensuring uninterrupted, safe, and compliant operations. It supports the Senior Director – FM Hard Services in aligning the hard services electrical engineering objectives with QIC corporate framework, strategic asset management plan and FM objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the operation and maintenance activities of LV / HV electrical systems, including switchgear, panels, UPS, generators and lighting.
Ensure implementation of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance plans.
Provide troubleshooting recommendations and resolve major electrical faults, power outages and technical failures.
Ensure all electrical systems comply with QIC as well as local codes and regulations (ex. H&S codes).
Conduct periodic audits, inspections and risk assessments of electrical systems.
Develop and enforce electrical safety procedures and ensure staff competency.
Lead a team of electrical engineers, supervisors and technicians.
Manage outsourced contractors and ensure performance against KPIs and SLAs.
Review technical proposals and scopes of work for electrical‑related projects.
Manage electrical projects including upgrades, refurbishments and system replacements.
Assist the Senior Director – FM Hard Services in developing and implementing long‑term electrical engineering sustainable operation and maintenance strategies aligned with QIC corporate framework, strategic asset management plan and FM objectives.
Participate in capital planning and asset condition assessments.
Ensure documentation, drawings and as‑built records are maintained.
Monitor and optimize energy consumption of electrical systems.
Support implementation of energy‑saving initiatives and smart technologies.
Analyze power quality, load profiles and suggest improvements.
Assist the Senior Director – FM Hard Services in the preparation of annual budgets for electrical maintenance and capital projects.
Track costs, control expenses and identify savings opportunities.
Produce technical and operational reports for leadership and compliance bodies.
Maintain rigorous safety practices for electrical operations.
Utilise CMMS / CAFM tools for tracking maintenance history, asset performance and resource planning.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master preferred).
Chartered Electrical Engineer credential or recognised industry membership.
10‑12 years of electrical engineering experience, with 5+ years in a facility management leadership position.
International experience including prior experience within MENA.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, design principles and maintenance practices.
Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage teams and drive performance.
Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across various levels of the organisation.
Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and regulations.
Experience in managing budgets, contracts and vendor relationships.
