What this job involves

The Project Controls Director will lead the project controls function across our construction portfolio, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, cost management, and risk mitigation for major construction projects. This senior leadership role requires expertise in construction project delivery and the ability to drive performance excellence across multiple concurrent projects. What your day-to-day will look like

Lead and develop a team of project controls professionals, schedulers, cost engineers, and analysts Establish project controls standards, procedures, and best practices for construction projects Mentor and develop talent within the project controls organization Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation Oversee development of master project schedules for complex construction projects Ensure integration of design, procurement, and construction activities Monitor critical path activities and milestone achievements Implement schedule recovery plans when needed Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and trade partners Desired or preferred experience and technical skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent leadership and team management skills Outstanding communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Strong understanding of construction means and methods Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 15+ years of construction industry experience in project controls or project management roles 5+ years in leadership / management positions Expert knowledge of construction project delivery methods (Design-Build, CM at Risk, IPD) Proficiency in project controls software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore) Strong understanding of construction cost databases and estimating tools Knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and industry standards Location
