Sr. Cyber Security Engineer

The Job Description

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Resident Engineer for 3 months experienced in implementing, configuring and maintaining QRADA SIEM.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls), and compliance requirements.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS / IPS, SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), endpoint protection, and encryption tools.
• Proficiency in penetration testing, vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit), and network security technologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL) and secure architecture design.
• Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis tools.
• Relevant security certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), or CompTIA Security+.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and secure configurations.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and security in DevOps (DevSecOps).
• Experience with encryption protocols (e.g., SSL / TLS, IPsec), and security tools like Splunk, Wireshark, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain security concepts to non-technical staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying security risks and addressing them.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to security incidents and crises.
