Job description

Founded in 2001 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, ATE is a leading trader of Asian food products across the Middle East, with strong operations in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Bahrain and branches in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, and Cairo.

We are hiring a Stock Controller & Shipping Manager to own day-to-day inventory control and end-to-end shipping. The role is documentation-heavy and includes registering products with the SFDA , coordinating closely with the Sales team, and ensuring every shipment is executed compliantly and on time. This is a full-time remote position; success means being on top of every detail, every day.

Inventory / Stock Control

  • Maintain accurate stock records in the ERP; perform cycle counts and reconcile variances.
  • Plan and monitor stock levels (reorder points, safety stock, FEFO / FIFO where relevant).
  • Track inbound receipts, QC holds / releases, expiries, and batch / lot traceability.
  • Prepare weekly KPIs (stock accuracy %, aging, slow / obsolete stock).

Shipping & Logistics Management

  • Plan, book, and track shipments (inbound / outbound) with freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Own shipping documentation : commercial invoice, packing list, HS codes, certificate of origin, health / inspection certificates as needed.
  • Coordinate customs clearance and ensure correct Incoterms® usage and landed-cost visibility.
  • Monitor OTIF (on-time-in-full), lead times, and exceptions; drive corrective actions.
  • Documentation & Compliance (SFDA Focus)

  • Register products with the Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) via the relevant e-systems and maintain renewals / updates.
  • Ensure labeling, documentation, and imports comply with SFDA and other KSA / GCC requirements.
  • Keep complete, audit-ready dossiers (forms, licenses, permits, test reports).
  • Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales on forecast, allocations, and priority shipments.
  • Liaise with suppliers, 3PLs / warehouses, and finance (GRN, claims, debit / credit notes).
  • Provide customers and internal teams with shipment ETAs and status updates.
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Build dashboards and reports from ERP / Excel (fill rate, OTIF, clearance time, cost).
  • Improve SOPs across inventory, documentation, and shipping.
  • Must-Have Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years in inventory / stock control and shipping / logistics (FMCG / food preferred).
  • ERP proficiency (mandatory) — e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivots / lookups), attention to detail, and documentation rigor.
  • Demonstrated experience with SFDA product registration and KSA import compliance.
  • Bilingual : Professional Arabic and English (written & spoken).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or similar.
  • Able to work full-time and align with UTC+3 (KSA) business hours , even if remote.
  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with WMS / TMS and 3PL operations.
  • Knowledge of GCC customs, SASO / SABER, and food labeling standards.
  • Background in Asian food trading or FMCG distribution.
